Something different. 100% Sangiovese from the “Mello” vineyard, 700 m above Gaiole in Chianti. The grapes are picked late to get maximum ripeness from this beautiful high vineyard. Fermented in cement tanks with 20% whole bunches. Very long maceration of 4 mths gives this wine a wonderful fruit character which defines it from the more classic styles. Harvested by hand.
