Châteauneuf du Pape Red ‘Tradition’

Location: This wine comes from different plots and soils (sand, river rocks, clay), located in the northern part of the appellation and La Crau hill.
Grapes: 65% old Grenaches, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, 5% Cinsault.
Yield: 25/30 hl/ha. Vinification: 80% destemming. Maceration from 21 to 28 days and daily punching down the cap. Ageing process : 80% in vat and 20% in barrels (1/3 new) during 12 months.
Tasting: A balanced Châteauneuf wine, with notes of black fruit (blackberry, blackcurrant), combined with aromas of violet, lining along and silky mouth, nervous. Ample and structured sensations will do wonders on dishes and grilled meat simmered, lamb roasts with herbs or beef stew. Enjoy it within the next twenty years.
